■ A crisp lettuce with excellent flavour and very decorative.
■ High in vitamin C, calcium and iron.
■ Produces large heads early on.
■ Can be grown over a long period and does not bolt quickly.
■ The heads have a long shelf life when chilled, even when cut.
■ Sow from February under glass and from mid-March can be sown directly in the garden.
■ Thin out liberally and keep sufficiently moist in dry weather.
■ Lettuce can be sown as early as very cool temperatures (> 10°C).
