■ Red Spring Onion Apache is a shiny purple, oval-shaped spring onion with a delicious flavour.
■ The onions have a long shelf life.
■ Use raw in e.g. your salads.
■ Sow thinly directly in the open ground in rows and cover the seed well.
■ Onion is a real dark-germinator.
■ Keep the soil continuously moist.
■ After emergence, do not thin out too much.
■ Lightly fertilise the soil, preferably with compost.
■ Harvesting can be done as early as early summer.
■ Possibly let grow on for a pastel-coloured large onion.
