■ Ramenas Winter Round Black
■ A round, black radish (Rettich) that has white flesh inside and is suitable for late cultivation.
■ A very tasty vegetable, very easy to grow and closely related to radish.
■ The roots have a rather pungent flavour and can be eaten raw as a snack or e.g. as a sandwich spread.
■ Contains many different minerals, such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium and vitamins B and C.
■ Before winter storage turn off the foliage, do not cut it off.
■ Sow thinly in rows. No tuberisation if too dense.
■ Loosen the soil well and do not over-fertilise.
